UDETAYAÑCAKKHUMĀ EKARĀJĀ, HARISSAVAṆṆO PAṬHA-VIPPABHĀSO
TAṀ TAṀ NAMASSĀMI, HARISSAVAṆṆAṀ PAṬHA-VIPPABHĀSAṀ.
TAYAJJA GUTTĀ, VIHAREMU DIVASAṀ. YE BRĀHMAṆĀ VEDAGU SABBADHAMME,
TE ME NAMO, TE CA MAṀ PĀLAYANTU. NAMATTHU BUDDHĀNAṀ,
NAMATTHU BODHIYĀ. NAMO VIMUTTĀNAṀ NAMO VIMUTTIYĀ.
IMAṀ SO PARITTAṀ KATVĀ MORO CARATI ESANĀ.
There rises One King, with Vision, golden-hued, luminates the earth. Protected by you may I live through the day safe and secure. May my homage to those Brahmanas who are knowers of all truths, have attained Enlightenment by comprehending all Dhamma. May they protect me. May my homage to the Buddhas, Homage to their Awakening, their Enlightenment. May my homage to the Liberated ones, those supremely secured from bondage and to their Deliverance. Having made this protection, the peacock goes about seeking for food.
那金光閃爍之眼,獨一無二的「君王」 升起了(這裡指的是太陽),它的光輝照亮了大地,(在此)我向您致以敬禮, 那金碧輝煌的「亮世者」,由於您的護衛,我們才得以整日安樂地過活。我向那親證諸法實相的沙門致以無上的敬禮,我向佛陀及其所證悟的法,致以無上的敬禮,我向那從一切糸縛中解脫出來的祟高尊者致以無上的敬禮,願他們都護佑著我。當孔雀作了這護衛後,他就到外去尋找(食物)了。

TE ME NAMO, TE CA MAṀ PĀLAYANTU. NAMATTHU BUDDHĀNAṀ,
NAMATTHU BODHIYĀ. NAMO VIMUTTĀNAṀ, NAMO VIMUTTIYĀ.

The One King, with Vision, golden-hued one, illuminating the earth, I pay homage to you. Protected by you may I live this night safe and secure.
